A sculptural mirror inspired by one of the most iconic buildings in history: the Pantheon and its mesmerizing oculus, set at the apex of its monumental dome. A masterpiece of ancient engineering, the oculus was conceived to admit light while marking the passage of time, allowing the sun to trace its movement across the space like a monumental sundial. This mirror celebrates the ingenuity and symbolic power of that architectural gesture. The circular form echoes the opening of the dome, while the surrounding frame reinterprets the cassettoni of the Pantheon’s interior, translating architectural rhythm into sculptural relief. At its center, the oculus becomes a bronze mirror, transforming void into reflection. Textured like carved stone and illuminated from behind, the mirror radiates a warm, hidden light, evoking the sun’s presence within the dome. Both architectural fragment and luminous object, the Pantheon Mirror stands as a contemporary homage to timeless geometry, light, and invention.
