Artist Bio

Ilene Sunshine was born in Atlanta, GA and received a BFA with honors from Boston University School of Fine Arts. She has lived in NYC for many years, with extended stays in Paris and Calcutta. Her work has been featured in solo and group exhibitions in the United States, France and Japan. Sunshine has installed large-scale, site-specific sculptures at the Hunterdon Museum in New Jersey and Metaphor Contemporary Art, Brooklyn. Her work included in the public collection of Fidelity Investments and in numerous private collections. Among other honors, Sunshine has been awarded residencies at The MacDowell Colony and the Ucross Foundation.
